Looking forward to season 4 of Stranger Things? Yeah we know, waiting for the new season is boring!
However, to help you wait, we give you the latest information to know!
The number of episodes, plot, new characters, here is everything you need to know about season 4 of Stranger Things at the moment!
A longer season 4
Instead of 8 episodes like the three previous seasons, season 4 of Stranger Things would include 9 episodes!
Rumor has it that this last episode would be used to explore the origins and background of one of the main characters in the series. But of course, all this remains to be confirmed. In any case, we’re not saying no to another episode, whatever it may be!
The return of Hopper
We thought he was dead at the end of season 3, fried by the explosion of the gate, but he is very much alive!
Netflix unveiled the first teaser of season 4 of Stranger Things, showing workers in a Russian camp and one of them is none other than Jim Hopper, the zero ball without his beard, forced to build a railway line. The portal would have teleported him to Russia and it is not to displease us.
His role there will be important, according to the creators of the series Matt and Ross Duffer. “He is imprisoned far from home in the snowy desert of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human and otherwise,” they added, promising crisp adventures for our sheriff.
The rest of the plot
But what about the adventures of Eleven, Mike and co? Will they go and save Jim Hopper?
Not right away anyway, because they will have other threats to face during this season 4. The creators of the series gave us a little hint about what to expect, talking about “a new terror coming to the surface, something long-buried, something that connects everything”.
And to add that Season 4 would be “the biggest, scariest, boldest and most complex season of all”. It won’t happen again in Hawkins, as we heard in the first teaser.
But then, where will season 4 take place?
We can already predict that part of season 4 will take place in Russia, where Jim Hopper is and where Russian scientists are plotting to unravel the mysteries of Upside Down.
One of the filming locations of the series would be in the same place where the series Chernobyl was shot. But part of season 4 will also take place in the United States. Netflix has confirmed with the Deadline that part of the plot will be shot in several cities in the state of New Mexico. This promises to make us travel.
An intriguing first episode title
A screenwriter of the series revealed the title of the first episode of season 4 in a tweet publishing a photo of the script. It will be entitled “Chapter One: The Hellfire Club”.
A name that X-Men fans know well since it refers to the Club of the Damned. As a reminder, this group brings together powerful politicians and financiers who oppose the X-Men. In particular, they manage to manipulate Jean Grey, before she escapes their control and becomes the Dark Phoenix.
Could it have something to do with Eleven, who has telekinetic powers like Jean Grey?
If the original cast will be back, we should discover new faces in this fourth season. What’s On Netflix has notably revealed their profiles.
We’ll meet a certain Fred, who has a passion for journalism, Chrissy, an ultra-popular cheerleader, Vicky, a cool but clumsy girl, Eddie, a high school student, Jason, a good-looking guy, Argyle, a stoned guy, Angela, a 15-year-old girl who likes to piss people off, and a certain Jake, a teenager, who will have a recurring role in the sequel.
On the adult side, we meet Mrs. Kelley, a gentle and attentive guidance counselor, but also Hatchen Hach, the head of a stubborn and pretentious psychiatric hospital and a lieutenant named Sullivan described as smart, cold, intimidating and who swears by force. Finally, a certain Dimitri will be of Russian origin. He could be a guard in the prison where Hopper is, or potentially another prisoner with whom the sheriff befriends. We prefer the latter option!
The release date
Unfortunately, at this time, no release dates for Season 4 episodes have been announced. We will certainly have to wait until the second half of 2020, or even the beginning of 2021, to discover the new adventures of Eleven et Cie. But while waiting, you can always make our test to know which character of Stranger Things corresponds to you the most!
